Define the midrashim transform M as the operation that takes a compressed theological-literary structure in Revelation and unfolds it into an elaborated form in a later New Testament text. If Revelation is first β not the appendix but the root β then the rest of the corpus is derivable from its seed material in structural terms, not verbatim. The granular case β executable
The transform is not only illustrated; for one letter it is executed. The four-verse Smyrna letter, parsed into nine typed elements and run through eight named rules, emits the structural skeleton of the Epistle of James β verse-matched, riding two lexical anchors that occur nowhere else in the canon, with the promise-to-citation arrow visible in the verb morphology and the residue displayed as the falsification surface. The seven-letter evaluation slate (all mappings, graded) travels with it.
The derivations below run the Apocalypse forward into the letters. They do not
explain where the compression operator was already running. The Upstream
Unfoldings supplies that: six operable transforms carrying Sappho 31 into the Apocalypse’s
channel — Longinus, where the operation is performed at the join and Fr. 31 is preserved
inside a criticism of it; Philo, where the machine is legislated as doctrine; the Greek Esther
and canonical Josephus, where the queen is seized and the king re-fired as a channel; the
contested Slavonic carrier; and Revelation 12 as the sign under test.

What this demonstrates β and does not
This does not claim to demonstrate historical fact. It demonstrates that a competing inference β the compositional priority of the Apocalypse β accounts for structural features of the New Testament corpus, and it renders that inference operable. The comparison is between inferences. The burden is symmetrical.
FALSIFICATION PROTOCOL β OPEN BY DESIGN
Identify New Testament passages that cannot be derived from Revelation through any plausible transform: these are the counterevidence. The transform graph above is the object to be broken, not merely admired. A passage class that resists every plausible transform weighs against the thesis. The parent monograph's falsification conditions β secure earlier dating of any NT document; demonstrated reversal of the structural parallels; post-70 compatibility of the internal evidence without special pleading β remain in force above this instrument.
